According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the weather trend from now until October 15th is as follows:
The Northern and North Central regions will experience scattered rain, with light fog in the early morning, and sunny days; however, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with scattered showers and thunderstorms from October 14th, and locally heavy rain on October 15th.
The central and southern central regions will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas; from the afternoon and night of October 14th, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some localized areas.
The forecast for tonight (October 13th) indicates scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Southern Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, with rainfall amounts ranging from 10-30mm, and some areas exceeding 50mm.
From the afternoon of October 14th, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the areas from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Thuan , the Central Highlands, and the Southern region, with localized heavy rain, receiving 15-30mm of rainfall, and in some places over 70mm.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rainfall may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.
Regarding weather conditions at sea, on the night of October 13th and during the day of October 14th, the northern South China Sea (including the waters around the Hoang Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa , and the Gulf of Thailand will experience showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at levels 7-8.
Additionally, in the northern part of the North East Sea, there are strong northeasterly winds of force 5, sometimes force 6, gusting to force 7-8; rough seas; and waves 2-3 meters high.
All vessels operating in these areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
