Laotian and Cambodian students can watch 'Peach, Pho and Piano' for free in Ho Chi Minh City

On the evening of February 29, information from the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City said that the unit, in collaboration with Cinestar Hai Ba Trung cinema complex, organized a free screening of the film Dao, Pho and Piano for Lao and Cambodian students studying abroad in Ho Chi Minh City at 7:00 p.m. on March 1.

According to the Organizing Committee, the selection of the film Dao, Pho and Piano aims to create opportunities for Lao and Cambodian students to learn about the history of the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland by the Vietnamese army and people during the resistance war against France.

Thereby helping to introduce good images of Vietnamese people, strengthening the connection and affection between Lao and Cambodian students and Vietnamese host families.

The Lao Student Dormitory Association in Ho Chi Minh City will be in charge of implementing the program.

Peach, Pho and Piano is considered an unprecedented box office phenomenon in Vietnamese cinema. The film has received support from a large audience across the country, especially young people who love history. The film premiered on February 10 (the first day of Tet), and by February 27, the state-ordered film had surpassed the 4 billion VND mark in revenue (according to Box Office Vietnam).

The film tells the love story of a self-defense soldier (played by Doan Quoc Dam) and a young lady from Hanoi (played by Cao Thuy Linh). The film also features famous actors, such as: People's Artist Trung Hieu, People's Artist Tran Luc, actor Anh Tuan, singer Tuan Hung...

Marketing and communications expert Le Quoc Vinh shared: " Before Dao, Pho and Piano, we had many good films, even many films that won international awards. These were films that were both political and propaganda and had high artistic value. However, these films only had a certain audience.
