Moc Chau plum season (May - June): The sweetness of early summer

As the early summer rains begin to subside, the Moc Chau plateau enters its plum harvesting season, lasting from the end of May to the end of June. Valleys like Na Ka and Mu Nau transform into vast orchards, welcoming visitors to experience the thrill of picking crisp, sweet plums still covered in their white bloom.

Here, you'll be given a bamboo basket and free to stroll through gardens spanning dozens of hectares. The tangy yet subtly sweet taste of freshly picked plums is an unforgettable culinary experience. Besides the main activity, many visitors also choose to camp in the orchards, enjoy plum-based products such as dried plums and plum syrup, and capture memorable moments amidst nature.

Ninh Thuan Grape Season (August - September): Experience the Mediterranean

With its characteristic sunny and windy climate, Ninh Thuan is an ideal land for abundant grapevines. The main grape harvest season usually falls in August and September, transforming the vineyards in Phan Rang - Thap Cham or Ninh Phuoc district into attractive destinations. Visitors can walk under the arched grapevines, where sunlight filters through the leaves, illuminating the plump bunches of grapes, creating a scene like a miniature "Mediterranean vineyard".

The experience here isn't just about taking photos or picking fresh grapes yourself. You also have the chance to chat with the vineyard owner to learn more about the grape growing and care process. After harvesting, don't forget to enjoy grape syrup, wine, and other specialty products processed on-site.

Golden season in the Northwest (September - October): Harvesting rice on high fields

Autumn, around September and October, is the time when the terraced fields in the Northwestern highlands such as Mu Cang Chai, Hoang Su Phi or Y Ty are covered in a golden color. This is considered the most beautiful "golden season" of the year, attracting many tourists and photographers to admire.

The harvest season experience is more than just sightseeing. Visitors can delve into the villages of the H'Mong, Dao, and Thai ethnic groups to learn about their unique rice farming culture. If you have the chance, you can ask the locals for permission to try your hand at cutting the ripe rice stalks with a sickle, feeling the aroma of straw and freshly harvested rice – an experience that deeply connects you with the local culture.

Dalat Strawberry Season (January - March): Sweetness of the cold land

When the chilly weather of the beginning of the year covers the city of thousands of flowers, it is also the time when Dalat strawberry season enters its peak harvest, usually lasting from January to March. High-tech farm models are becoming more and more popular, bringing new experiences to tourists.

Instead of rows of strawberries in the ground, you'll step into modern greenhouses where strawberries are grown on hydroponic racks at arm's length. This method not only keeps the strawberries clean but also makes harvesting convenient. Visitors are free to choose ripe, glossy red strawberries and enjoy dishes and drinks made from fresh strawberries right in the garden.

Western Vietnam Fruit Season (June - August): Buffet amidst the orchards

From June to August, the provinces of the Southwestern Mekong Delta enter their peak fruit season, becoming the largest "fruit basket" in the country. A unique aspect of orchard tourism here is the experience of riding in a traditional sampan boat, navigating through small canals, flanked by fruit-laden orchards that stretch almost to the water's surface.

You can easily reach out and pick clusters of bright red rambutan, deep purple mangosteen, or savor the rich aroma of durian. Many orchards even offer a "fruit buffet," allowing visitors to eat as much as they want on the spot for a fixed price. The abundance of nature combined with the hospitality of the local people creates a memorable exploration journey.
