Mr. Huynh Van Cuong, Chairman of Tam Hai Commune People's Committee, said that at 6:30 a.m. the same day, due to dangerous weather conditions, the Commune People's Committee issued an urgent notice to stop the operation of Tam Hai - Tam Quang ferry terminal and other passenger terminals across the river.

Accordingly, wooden ferry QNa-0886 has temporarily stopped transporting passengers and vehicles due to heavy rain limiting visibility, high waves and strong winds causing unsafe conditions.

“Many people have been affected and their lives have been disrupted due to the ferry stopping operations, but the safety of people's lives and property is the top priority.

The Commune People's Committee has contacted Border Guard Squadron 2 ( Da Nang City Border Guard) to support vehicles and forces. Border Guard Squadron 2 will assess the site, if safety is guaranteed, the unit will support transporting people across the river," Mr. Huynh Van Cuong informed.
