Railway increases tourist trains to Da Lat during Tet

Saigon Railway Transport Branch said it will increase the number of Da Lat - Trai Mat tourist trains to serve tourists visiting the city during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024.

Accordingly, from December 28, 2023 to February 18, 2024, the ancient train in Da Lat will run a maximum of 5 pairs of trains per day.

Railway increases trains from Da Lat to Trai Mat on the occasion of Tet 2024.

At Da Lat station, train DL1 leaves at 7:50, train DL3 leaves at 9:55, train DL5 leaves at 12:00, train DL7 leaves at 14:05, train DL9 leaves at 16:10. Departing from Trai Mat, train DL2 leaves at 8:50, train DL4 leaves at 10:55, train DL6 leaves at 13:00, DL8 leaves at 15:05, DL10 leaves at 17:10. The train journey is about 30 minutes/trip.

The railway applies a discount policy: 25% discount on round-trip tickets; 15 to 40% discount on group tickets of 10 people or more. In particular, the ticket price for DL1/DL2 trains is only 50,000 VND/trip.

Previously, the railway said that on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the formation and development of Da Lat City (1893-2023), in December 2023, Vietnam Railways Corporation will provide new services such as installing wifi, serving free drinking water on trains; arranging photographers to take pictures and film for free, serving passengers to "check in" at the station and take the train.

In particular, on the Da Lat - Trai Mat train, there are professional violin and guitar artists performing for free for train passengers; at Da Lat station, there is a photo exhibition recording images of Da Lat station, the train, and architectural works and landscapes of Da Lat through the ages.
