Last night, Man City secured a 2-0 victory away at Villarreal in their third group stage match of the Champions League. Haaland continued his impressive form by scoring the opening goal, while Bernardo Silva found the net.

Notably, Haaland scored his 24th goal for Man City this season. This was the fourth consecutive game in which the Norwegian star scored in the Champions League. Specifically for Man City, Haaland has scored in nine consecutive games, just one game short of equaling his personal record for the longest scoring streak under Pep Guardiola (10 games, from August to October 2022).
Including his national team appearances, the 25-year-old has scored in 12 consecutive matches, equaling the record set by Cristiano Ronaldo when he played for Real Madrid in 2018.
Haaland's season began with a brace in the 4-0 win against Wolves in the opening round of the Premier League, but he then went goalless in the defeat to Tottenham shortly afterwards. Since then, the Norwegian striker has transformed into a "destructive whirlwind," scoring 22 goals in the next 12 matches.
Haaland's impressive run of form began with a goal against Brighton, then exploded when he scored six goals for Norway in two international matches in September.

The striker born in 2000 continued to amaze fans with a brace in the Manchester derby against Man Utd, then went on to inflict defeats on Arsenal, Burnley, Brentford, and Everton. On the international stage, Haaland also scored a hat-trick against Israel in October.
In the Champions League, Haaland scored four goals in three matches against Napoli, Monaco, and Villarreal.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match against Brentford on October 5th, Haaland revealed the secret behind his outstanding form: “I’ve never felt better than I do now. It all starts with preparation, not just physically but mentally. Since becoming a father, I’ve been taking my mind off football more. When I get home, I don’t think about the games anymore, I just relax completely.”
"Before, I used to overthink and worry too much. Now it's different; I'm calmer and enjoy life more. I have to thank my son for that."
