Bringing the "championship gene" from Real to the German team is a challenge for Toni Kroos at this time, but that is Kroos' mission when he decided to return to "Die Mannschaft."

One of Coach Julian Nagelsmann's most notable achievements since being appointed to lead the German national team until now is certainly convincing Toni Kroos to return to wear the "Die Mannschaft" shirt at EURO 2024.

Simply because Kroos is still the most classy German player at the moment, after he just led Real Madrid (Spain) to the Champions League title once again with top performances at the age of 34.

Helping Germany conquer EURO 2024 at home is certainly an extremely difficult task, but Kroos is the type of player who enjoys such challenges, because he has enough talent and personality.

Ahead of EURO 2024, Kroos has not only cemented his status as the most successful player in German football history with 34 titles, including six Champions League titles, but has also assumed the role of undisputed leader of the national team.

Kroos had to leave his homeland 10 years ago to prove himself. Specifically, he left Bayern Munich to join a more famous team, Real Madrid.

And Kroos has put all those who doubted his talent to shame. He has not only affirmed his talent at the greatest team in the world but also been a pillar of their success over the past 10 years.

Kroos' unique value became clear to German fans as he took command of Real Madrid's midfield, reading and dictating the game with unprecedented precision.

Kroos' reputation in Germany has long been tarnished by criticism that he slows down the game, earning him the nickname "Toni the cross-passer."

Speaking at Germany's training camp in Herzogenaurach, Kroos said: "I still have the hunger. Playing a big tournament at home with the aim of winning is what keeps me coming back. It's the thought in me that it's possible that keeps me coming back. Otherwise there's no point."

Germany fans should be thankful that Kroos is still motivated by the national team. Even before winning his sixth Champions League title with Real Madrid, Kroos announced that he would retire after the EURO 2024 Finals.

Kroos has always made it clear that Real Madrid will be his last club and he will not join any other team despite the US or Saudi Arabia being big money destinations.

Furthermore, the midfielder has always maintained that he wants to leave football at the top, as he will never accept a reduced role in the team.

True to his word, Kroos chose to leave Real Madrid in the most spectacular way possible, after winning La Liga, the Champions League, along with the Spanish Super Cup, while still in top form.

Kroos explained his decision: "I simply wanted to be remembered as Toni Kroos, 34 years old, who played his best season for Real Madrid in his final year. I did that. I take it as a compliment when many people think I retired too early."

Kroos has never spoken of late satisfaction, as his achievements seem to tell the story. However, when talking about the German team, many people have seen a smile on his face, as Kroos seems to be enjoying the justice that has long eluded him.

Bringing the "championship gene" from Real to the German team is a challenge for Kroos at this time, but that is Kroos' mission when he decided to return to "Die Mannschaft."

He is the perfect link between the established stars on one side and the emerging young talents on the other side of the German team.

Kroos certainly has pressure in this comeback, but he doesn't feel burdened. Because that's what Kroos has experienced and overcome throughout his peak career./.
