Red River Festival 2025: Many exciting activities, rich in identity

VTV.vn - The 2025 Red River Festival will take place from November 18 to 24 in Lao Cai province, promising to bring visitors a series of vibrant cultural and tourism activities imbued with identity.

With the theme “Where the Red River flows into Vietnam”, the 2025 Red River Festival brings visitors a series of vibrant cultural and tourism activities imbued with the identity of the upper Red River region. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 19 at Nam Cuong Square (Cam Duong Ward), with a special art program and 15 minutes of low-altitude fireworks, broadcast live on VTV.

Many unique cultural activities will be held such as: Experiencing the ethnic cultural space at Kim Tan Square, including 13 exhibition spaces recreating traditional rituals, performing folk songs, folk dances, handicrafts and typical OCOP products. Exhibition of documents and artifacts on the Red River culture and cooperation activities to develop the Red River - Yunnan (China) basin. Besides, there are a series of exciting activities such as: Re-enacting "Ancient Coc Leu Market", Red River Festival Golf Tournament 2025, International Cycling Race "One track, two countries" (Hong Ha - Lao Cai ) and Lao Cai Shan Tuyet Tea Festival 2025 with the theme "Tea scent in the clouds".

The Red River Festival is also organized to connect and enrich tourism products, effectively exploit the cultural values ​​of the Red River associated with tourism development. Lao Cai province hopes that the Festival will become a highlight of Lao Cai tourism to attract tourists, building the Festival into a unique local brand.
