Carrying the identity of the great forest and the sea.
After the merger, Gia Lai province opened up a new development space, harmoniously combining the strong spirit of the "martial arts land" and the wild beauty, imbued with the cultural identity of the Central Highlands. From that foundation, Gia Lai is planning a tourism development strategy based on cultural factors to form a modern cultural, sports and tourism ecosystem, imbued with the nuances of "the great forest and the blue sea".

Gia Lai is planning a tourism development strategy based on cultural factors.
With a strategic geographical location, majestic natural landscapes, and the Central Highlands gong cultural space - a heritage recognized by UNESCO. In addition, there is a rich system of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, creating a foundation for the development of cultural, ecological, sports and festival tourism. Gia Lai is proposing the Central Government to support investment in the restoration of the Tay Son Thuong Dao Relic Complex, and at the same time host the National Tourism Year 2026, the 9th International Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts and a number of large-scale sporting events to create highlights to attract domestic and foreign visitors.
According to the orientation, Gia Lai will continue to make culture a driving force for economic development, taking indigenous values as a pillar to form distinct tourism products. On that basis, Gia Lai plans to build a chain of typical tourism products, connecting from Bien Ho - "the eyes of Pleiku" to rocky rapids, streams, craft villages, festivals and gong spaces, combined with the experience of the blue sea of the Central region.
The approach of "linking the great forest and the blue sea" not only helps expand the tourism space but also affirms Gia Lai's new direction: developing tourism from culture and enriching with culture, making Gia Lai a destination at the intersection of the plateau and the sea on the tourism map of Vietnam.
