Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro launched with better battery

At its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro earbuds with Galaxy AI features and significant design changes.

To justify the higher price of the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Samsung has given the product features like Adaptive ANC, Adaptive Noise Control, Ambient Sound mode, better microphones, and longer battery life. The company has also given the product a new “premium tongue design” to ensure a comfortable fit along with fancy lights called Blade Lights.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro improves the audio experience over the Buds3 by adding 2-way speakers and dual amplifiers. Users can control the functions of the earphones by swiping up/down on the "tongue". In fact, these two Galaxy Buds3 models have different designs for different user targets, with the Pro version being the "Canal" type for those looking for immersive sound, while the regular version is the Open type for those who like to use the device in many different situations for long periods of time.

When paired with the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Flip6, the Buds3 series can support Galaxy AI features like Interpreter to translate what's being said in real time. Another feature called Voice Commands allows hands-free control of the earbuds, giving commands to play/pause or skip songs without touching your smartphone or earbuds.

The redesigned cases have a transparent top and the same 515 mAh battery capacity. However, the Pro variant has a slightly larger 53 mAh battery in each earbud that lasts up to 6 hours with ANC on and a total of 26 hours with the case (or up to 7 hours/30 hours with ANC off). The Buds3 variant has a 48 mAh battery in each earbud that promises up to 5 hours of continuous listening and a total of 24 hours with ANC on (or 6 hours/30 hours with ANC off).

Speaking of connectivity options, both models support Bluetooth 5.4 Low Energy. They can work with Android (Galaxy Wearable app), Samsung Smart TVs (2022 models and later), Windows 10 (Galaxy Buds app), and only support Bluetooth with iOS/macOS devices.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro and Buds3 are available for pre-order now for $250 and $180, respectively. Both wireless earbuds will be available in Silver and White color options when they hit shelves on July 24.
