Meeting her father after 45 years of separation, the woman cried because of her stepmother's reaction.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Upon seeing her biological father for the first time, Dang Thach Thao couldn't hold back her tears, hugging him tightly and sobbing uncontrollably. At that moment, her stepmother's reaction moved Thao even more.

"Dad, I thought I would never see you again. Seeing you so healthy like this makes me so happy," Dang Thach Thao (45 years old, residing in Hau Giang province) sobbed, speaking through the phone screen.

Before Ms. Thao could finish speaking, her father, Mr. Dang Van Da (70 years old, residing in An Giang province), shed tears of joy and smiled happily, feeling content. Looking at the similarities in their faces, along with the matching information, both were convinced they were biological father and daughter, even without DNA (genetic) testing to confirm their blood relationship.

Previously, Mr. Da traveled from Hanoi to the South by ship to work as a canal and ditch cleaner. During this time, he met and developed a romantic relationship with Ms. Thach Thi Xuyen. Not long after, Ms. Xuyen became pregnant with their first daughter, but Mr. Da was suddenly transferred to another job.

Mr. Da suggested that Ms. Xuyen move to the North with him. However, Ms. Xuyen refused. Since then, they haven't seen each other again, but Ms. Xuyen has never told anyone the real reason.

After Trang was born, Mrs. Xuyen wrote several letters to Mr. Da, telling him about their firstborn daughter. However, the father and daughter never had the chance to see each other.

Some time passed, and when Trang was eight years old, a stranger claiming to be a friend of Mr. Da came to inform her that he was very ill and wished to see his daughter one last time.

"I was young then, my mother was working far away, and my grandmother didn't dare let me go with that stranger. Growing up, I reflected on how seriously ill my father was at the time, and his chances of survival were very low," Trang recounted.

Two months ago, she asked a YouTube channel specializing in finding missing relatives to spread the word and seek help from the online community. Unexpectedly, in a short time, a man claiming to be Mr. Da's nephew contacted her and acknowledged his relative.

"The night before I met my father, I couldn't sleep. I heard that he had a new family, two children, and even grandchildren. Would he still need me? These questions filled me with anxiety. But all I cared about was knowing he was healthy; I didn't need to worry too much about anything else," Trang confided.

During their first phone call, the 45-year-old woman asked the 70-year-old man for his name and the name of his ex-wife. When she heard Mr. Da correctly pronounce her mother's name, Ms. Trang burst into tears. Mr. Da also couldn't hold back his tears upon seeing his daughter's face for the first time.

"I'm so happy, my child. I went looking for you, but people said you were sick and had passed away, so I stopped searching," Mr. Da said.

Two days later, Ms. Trang arranged to meet Mr. Da. As soon as she got out of the car, she couldn't control her emotions. Mr. Da's son, Mr. Hai, took Ms. Trang's hand and led her into the house.

The moment she met her father "in the flesh," she hugged him tightly, sobbing uncontrollably. Her older brother, witnessing the scene, also secretly wiped away his tears. Mr. Da's wife, Trang's stepmother, also smiled happily, welcoming her as a member of the family.
