Today's live pig prices (January 8, 2025) in the northern region continued to record a slight increase in Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang provinces, both rising by 1,000 VND to 69,000 VND/kg, and in Nam Dinh province reaching 68,000 VND/kg.

Currently, live pig prices in this region are fluctuating between 67,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Hanoi, Bac Giang , Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang have the highest live pig prices nationwide at 69,000 VND/kg. Ninh Binh has the lowest price in the region at 67,000 VND/kg. Other localities in the region are trading at a common price of 68,000 VND/kg.

Central and Central Highlands regions
Similarly, today's live pig price (January 8, 2025) in the Central and Central Highlands regions recorded a slight increase in Quang Nam province , at 1,000 VND/kg.
Currently, live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions range from 66,000 to 68,000 VND/kg. Lam Dong province maintains the highest live pig price in the region at 69,000 VND/kg.
Next, the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, and Dak Lak all reached the same purchase price of 68,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces had live pig prices fluctuating between 66,000 and 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region
Pork prices in the Southern region today (January 8, 2025) also recorded fluctuations in some provinces and cities such as An Giang, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Ben Tre, and Soc Trang, all increasing by 1,000 VND/kg, while Kien Giang increased by as much as 2,000 VND/kg.
Currently, live pig prices in the Southern region are fluctuating between 66,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Kien Giang, the price increased to 69,000 VND/kg, matching the prices in Dong Nai and Tay Ninh. In Can Tho, Soc Trang, Ca Mau, and Ben Tre, the price reached 68,000 VND/kg. An Giang and Bac Lieu both increased to 67,000 VND/kg.
Overall, the live pig market today saw a slight increase across the country. Surveys show that live pigs nationwide are trading in the range of 66,000 – 69,000 VND/kg.
