iPhone 17 Pro Max price "cools down" but still high

After nearly three weeks of launching in the Vietnamese market, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is still facing a shortage of goods, especially the two silver and space orange versions.

Meanwhile, the dark blue version is available at many dealers, ready for immediate delivery to customers.

According to a survey by Dan Tri reporters on iPhone buying and selling forums, the price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max remains high, although it has shown signs of "cooling down" compared to when it was first launched.

The two versions of silver and cosmic orange are attracting great attention from domestic consumers, leading to "sold out" situations at most dealers. This has pushed up product prices in the secondary market.

Currently, the 256GB version of the iPhone 17 Pro Max in cosmic orange is being sold on the "black market" for 42 million VND. This price is 4 million VND higher than Apple's listed price, but has decreased by 6 million VND compared to the first days of sale. The silver version is even more expensive, up to 43 million VND.

Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, representative of the My Mobile system, said: "Initially, the cosmic orange version had the highest price due to limited supply. However, currently, the silver version is receiving more attention, causing the selling price to change accordingly."

The situation of "overpricing" iPhones on the black market has been going on for many years. Although many systems have required customers to activate the warranty immediately upon purchase to limit "transfers", this solution does not seem to bring significant effectiveness.

This is the first year that Apple has launched iPhones early in the Vietnamese market, which has boosted domestic demand. However, the supply of devices in the first batches is not enough to meet market demand.

Minh Tuan Mobile representative shared: "Vietnam being upgraded to the early sale market group (tier 1) is a positive signal. However, in the first return period, the supply is still limited and can only meet a part of the early orders in the system."

According to information from dealers, iPhone 17 shipments have been continuously imported to Vietnam since late September and early October. It is expected that the "thirst" for iPhone 17 Pro Max will soon end in the second half of October when the next shipments are brought to the market.
