On October 11, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Executive Committee issued a press release on the 13th Conference to resolve work within its authority.
At the conference, the Provincial Party Executive Committee discussed and found that, in his role as Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, and account holder of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund, Mr. Ho Van Diem failed to check and failed to detect the agency's accounting agency misappropriating money from the province's Epidemic Prevention and Control Fund for personal use.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and cause of the violation, according to the Party's Regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and Party members, the Provincial Party Executive Committee decided to impose a disciplinary warning on Mr. Ho Van Diem.
As previously reported by the Journalist and Public Opinion Newspaper, the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department has initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained Ms. Do Thi Thu Hien, accountant of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai Province, for 4 months to investigate the act of embezzlement of property.
According to the initial investigation, from February 2021 to April 2023, Ms. Hien took advantage of her assigned duties and responsibilities to create fake documents to withdraw more than VND 3.5 billion from the Gia Lai Province Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund from the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai Province, opened at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam ( BIDV ) - Gia Lai Branch.
