Gia Lai awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 HAGL players after the Southeast Asian U23 Tournament

VHO - On August 1, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee signed a Decision to award Certificates of Merit to two players who had excellent achievements in training and competing to win Gold Medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Football Championship.

Goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien and player Pham Ly Duc received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.

Accordingly, in Decision No. 964/QD-UBND dated August 1, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan awarded Certificates of Merit to two players of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club, Pham Ly Duc and Tran Trung Kien.

Pham Ly Duc and Tran Trung Kien are two players who have had excellent achievements in training and competing, winning the Gold Medal at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Football Championship. The fact that the two HAGL players were awarded Certificates of Merit by Gia Lai province further affirms their important contributions to the overall success of the team.

Goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien (born 2003, in Gia Lai), 1m92 tall, is considered a "steel wall" in the goal of U23 Vietnam. Pham Ly Duc (born 2003 in Tay Ninh ), is a versatile young player, possessing an ideal physique and outstanding aerial ability. Ly Duc is known as a "steel center-back" with a strong and solid playing style.

Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory letter, highly appreciating the brave fighting spirit of the players when the Vietnam U23 football team won 1-0 against the Indonesia U23 team and successfully defended the Southeast Asian U23 championship.

It is known that after the tournament ended, Ly Duc left HAGL to join the Hanoi Police Club. Meanwhile, Trung Kien continued to go to Thailand to train with HAGL before the start of the 2025/2026 V.League season.
