The rice market in the Mekong Delta region on December 12th remained stable, with quiet trading due to limited supply of fresh paddy. While paddy prices held steady, some types of rice for export saw slight adjustments, notably OM 5451 rice decreasing by 100 VND/kg.
Developments in the domestic rice market
Rice trading in many localities such as Can Tho , Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh is slow because farmers tend to hold onto high prices amidst limited supply.
Price list for fresh rice in An Giang
According to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the prices of common fresh rice varieties are as follows:

- Regular rice: 11,000 – 12,000 VND/kg
Export rice prices remain unchanged.
According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the export price of Vietnamese rice continues to remain stable, reflecting the general trend of the world market amidst relatively unchanged demand.
