On the morning of March 21st, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings, offered by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI, continued to remain below 100 million VND per tael. Specifically, the buying price was 97.8 million VND per tael and the selling price was 99.8 million VND per tael. Compared to its all-time high, the price of SJC gold bars has decreased by approximately 600,000 VND.
Nevertheless, this is still the historical peak for the price of gold bars.
Both are 24K gold bars, but PNJ sells them for over 99.99 million VND/ounce; Bao Tin Minh Chau sells Thang Long Gold Dragon brand gold bars for 100.4 million VND/ounce.

Although the price of SJC gold bars has fallen below 100 million VND/ounce, it remains at its historical peak.
Similarly, the prices of 99.99% pure gold rings and jewelry have also fallen from their historical peaks. SJC Company listed the buying price for plain 99.99% pure gold rings at 97.7 million VND/ounce and the selling price at 99.7 million VND/ounce. Prices for gold rings also vary between brands.
Businesses are keeping the buy-sell price difference high, at around 2 million VND per tael.
Domestic gold prices are falling more slowly than world prices. On the international market, the precious metal plummeted after reaching an all-time high of $3,055 per ounce. As of 9:00 AM Vietnam time today, world gold prices were trading at $3,037 per ounce, down about ten dollars per ounce compared to the previous session.
During trading last night and early this morning, the price of gold briefly fell to $3,027 per ounce before recovering to $3,045 per ounce.
Currently, the world gold price, converted using the listed exchange rate, is approximately 92.3 million VND per tael.
