Today's world oil prices
World oil prices fluctuated in opposite directions during today's trading session (September 3rd, Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at $74.11 per barrel, up $0.07 per barrel, or 0.09%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $74.04 per barrel and opened today's session at $73.84 per barrel.
Brent crude oil was trading at $77.44 per barrel, down $0.08 per barrel, or 0.10%. Brent crude closed the previous trading session at $77.52 per barrel and opened today's session at $77.13 per barrel.
Oil prices rose slightly due to continued disruptions to Libyan oil exports and reduced market concerns about OPEC+ increasing production from October. Additionally, oil exports from major Libyan ports have halted, and production has been cut across the country.
However, according to analysts, disruptions to Libya's oil production have become commonplace in recent years. This shutdown may also be short-lived.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On September 3rd, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel fuel, according to Petrolimex 's published price list in Zone 1 and Zone 2 (applied to 46 provinces and cities), are as follows:
The aforementioned domestic retail fuel prices were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the price adjustment session on the afternoon of August 29th. Accordingly, diesel fuel saw the largest decrease, at 299 VND/liter, followed by RON 95-III gasoline at 208 VND/liter. Mazut decreased by 194 VND/kg, and E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 92 VND/liter. Kerosene saw the smallest decrease, at 84 VND/liter.
Today's fuel discounts
The discounted prices of petroleum products today, September 3rd, at some domestic gas stations are as follows:
Pvoil applies the following discounts on September 3rd: Diesel: 1,400 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,350 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,250 VND/liter. These discounts apply at Pvoil Dinh Vu, Petec An Hai, and Cai Lan depots.
Tu Luc fuel company's discounts on September 3rd are as follows: Diesel: 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,300 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC fuel discounts on September 3rd: RON 95 - III: 1,400 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; diesel: 1,600 VND/liter at Mipec depots.
Forecast of domestic gasoline and diesel prices for the next period.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic gasoline and diesel prices will fluctuate according to the global oil situation. Based on current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, gasoline and diesel prices may continue to decrease, by about 100-200 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, counting from the price adjustment on January 4th, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 17 times. Diesel prices have increased 16 times and decreased 18 times.
