The 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists Football Tournament kicks off on June 16

Five teams will compete in the 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists' Football Tournament - Dong A Cup 2023. This is a traditional event for journalists in Thanh Hoa province, organized to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

The Organizing Committee presented the playing uniforms to the 5 teams participating in the tournament.

On the morning of June 9th, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association held a professional meeting to draw lots, schedule matches, and prepare for the 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists' Football Tournament - Dong A Cup 2023. The tournament is organized by the Provincial Journalists Association in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Football Federation, with the main sponsorship from Dong A Real Estate Group.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong, Standing Vice President of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Journalists Association and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, delivered a speech at the conference.

Overview of the conference.

According to the plan, the tournament will open on the afternoon of June 16th and conclude on the afternoon of June 18th with a closing ceremony and awards presentation. More than 100 athletes from 5 teams will participate, including: Thanh Hoa Newspaper, Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, the Central Press Agencies Association in Thanh Hoa, and the combined team of the Department of Information and Communications - Provincial Party Committee Office - Provincial People's Committee Office and the Thanh Hoa Journalists Club in Hanoi .

A representative from the tournament's main sponsor, Dong A Real Estate Group, spoke at the conference.

The teams compete in a round-robin format, with points awarded and rankings determined. The first-place team wins the championship trophy, medals, and a prize of 15 million VND. The second-place team receives a second-place prize of 10 million VND. The third-place team receives a prize of 8 million VND.

Pham Cam Hung, Vice President of the Thanh Hoa Football Federation, delivered a speech at the conference.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded a style prize and individual awards including: Top scorer, best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament. The total prize money was 46 million VND.

Representatives from the football teams gave speeches at the conference.

The matches were played under the 7-a-side football rules of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, on the artificial turf pitches of the Viet Hung Football Training Center, and officiated by the Thanh Hoa Football Federation's team of referees.

The Organizing Committee has approved the tournament regulations and team personnel arrangements; provided the teams with their uniforms; and prepared all necessary conditions to ensure the tournament takes place safely and successfully.

The Organizing Committee will conduct the draw and schedule the matches.

The opening match was a contest between the Thanh Hoa Newspaper team and the combined team of the Department of Information and Communications - Provincial Party Committee Office - Provincial People's Committee Office.

Having been successfully organized five times, the Thanh Hoa Journalists' Football Tournament has become a meaningful and practical playground for journalists.

The 6th Thanh Hoa Journalists' Football Tournament - Dong A Cup 2023 is an opportunity to strengthen the bond between journalists in the province, contributing to promoting the sports movement among journalists, thereby continuously improving their health and better serving the ideological and cultural front.
