Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 International Powerboat Racing: Organizational work is carefully prepared

In order to create an exciting and memorable tournament that attracts a large number of participants, the province and relevant units are actively working on organizing the 2024 Grand Prix of Binh Dinh International Professional Motorboat Race. At this point, all preparations are almost complete. This is the first time these races have been held in Vietnam, including the ABP Aquabike Jet Motor Championship from March 22-24 and the UIM F1H2O Formula 1 World Championship from March 29-31. The Formula 1 motorboat race is attracting significant public attention, as the boats used are high-speed, highly maneuverable catamarans. The boats are 6 meters long, 2 meters wide, and weigh 390 kg. They are powered by V6 engines with over 400 horsepower. These boats can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 minutes and have a top speed exceeding 250 km/h. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of the event for both locals and tourists, the Provincial People's Committee has made thorough preparations from an early stage with communication and promotional activities such as: the reality TV show "Spreading the Passion for Aquabike," the launch of the F1H2O Binh Dinh - Vietnam Motorboat Racing Team, and numerous meetings with relevant departments and agencies to assign specific tasks and ensure coordinated organization. In addition, construction work for the race is being expedited, with several items nearing completion, including the control center, press center, equipment repair area, fixed pontoon bridge, and floating pontoons for the starting point. Currently, the construction unit is focusing its workforce to complete these projects on schedule. After the site infrastructure is completed, Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company will proceed with the installation of the main stage and grandstands (regular and VIP) with a capacity of approximately 6,000 spectators. The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh International Motorboat and Jet Ski Race, organized by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province from March 22-31, will take place in Thi Nai Lagoon and is expected to attract over 40,000 domestic and international tourists. This is an opportunity to introduce the image and culture of Binh Dinh to friends both domestically and internationally, while also contributing to the development of motorboat racing in Vietnam.
