Land clearance for Khanh Hoa Expressway

On July 6th, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a meeting on the progress of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway construction project, phase 1. According to information presented at the meeting, land clearance for the project section passing through the province is still facing many difficulties, resulting in slow progress.

Specifically, in component project 3, which passes through Ea Kar, Cu Kuin, and Krong Pak districts, the affected area is over 331 hectares, with only over 88 hectares (26.6%) handed over so far. Similarly, in component project 2, which spans Ea Kar, M'Drak, and Krong Bong districts, the total affected area is nearly 318 hectares, with only 15 hectares (almost 5%) handed over. Currently, all localities are facing difficulties in determining land use origin, compensation rates, and support for forestry trees…

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project took place in Dak Lak on June 18th.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Canh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, directed relevant departments, agencies, and localities to focus on effectively carrying out land clearance tasks to ensure the project's construction proceeds on schedule, disburses compensation funds, and ensures transparent and lawful advance payment, reimbursement, and compensation disbursement.

Specifically, it requires departments to promptly resolve difficulties for localities to effectively handle matters in accordance with general regulations; develop a plan to prioritize the allocation of funds for land clearance; and create a plan to allow people to harvest planted forests after receiving land clearance compensation…

The Khánh Hòa - Buôn Ma Thuột expressway construction project, phase 1, with a length of 117.5 km, commenced on June 18th. The project is divided into three sub-projects: sub-project 1 (approximately 32 km), 2 (37.5 km), and 3 (approximately 48 km), respectively managed by the People's Committee of Khánh Hòa province, the Ministry of Transport , and the People's Committee of Đắk Lắk province.

Previously, in April, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province directed the investor and relevant units and localities to expedite land clearance, ensuring the handover of at least 70% of the project's land before June 30, 2023.
