Postponement, exemption, and reduction of taxes, fees, and charges for organizations, individuals, and businesses affected by storm No. 3

On September 10, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch 92/CD-TTg dated 2024 on focusing on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 and post-storm floods.

Flood water is 40-50cm deep on Provincial Road 421B in Quoc Oai, Hanoi due to the impact of storm No. 3 and post-storm flooding.

Accordingly, implementing the conclusion of the Politburo on September 9, following the direction at working sessions to inspect the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in a number of localities in recent days.

In Section 10 of Official Dispatch 92/CD-TTg in 2024, the Prime Minister requested the Minister of Finance to implement the deferral, exemption, and reduction of taxes, fees, and charges for organizations, individuals, and enterprises affected by storms and floods as follows:

The Minister of Finance directs the effective implementation of policies on deferment, exemption and reduction of taxes, fees, charges... for organizations, individuals and businesses suffering damage due to storms and floods according to the provisions of law; requires insurance businesses to promptly compensate for losses to insurance buyers in a timely, complete and timely manner in accordance with contract agreements and legal regulations; promptly coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to propose to the competent authority to issue rice to households at risk of hunger according to regulations and authority.

In addition, request the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement:

Continue to direct and promptly deploy measures to ensure the safety of dikes and dams, promptly detect and handle incidents from the first hour;

Directing measures to overcome the impact of storms and floods on agricultural production, restoring agricultural production immediately after storms and floods;

Direct the synthesis of needs, promptly report and propose to competent authorities to decide on seed support to restore agricultural production, to avoid shortages of food supply in the coming time, especially at the end of 2024 and Lunar New Year.
