Traffic is guaranteed on the day of the 10th grade entrance exam.

Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, Head of the Traffic Police Department, said that in June 2023, two important exams will take place in Hanoi , the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year, and the 2023 High School Graduation Exam. It is expected that in both sessions, the whole city will have about 200,000 candidates taking the exam, an increase of nearly 20,000 students compared to the 2022-2023 school year.

The Traffic Police Department has proactively coordinated with the Departmentof Education and Training and authorities at all levels to implement measures to ensure seriousness, honesty, fairness, efficiency and convenience for the exam. Before the first exam day (June 10), the unit proactively grasped the local situation, organized on-duty and traffic flow so as not to affect the candidates.

On June 10, traffic police teams were tasked with directing traffic on the streets and assisting candidates at locations at risk of congestion and flooding during bad weather.

Captain Pham Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Traffic Police Team No. 4, Traffic Police Department said: The unit has chosen the Luong Yen Secondary School exam site located in a small alley, a small street to deploy support for candidates and traffic flow. This morning, this exam site had no late candidates, the order and traffic safety situation at the school gate was ensured.

In Hoan Kiem district, on weekends, a large number of tourist vehicles appear early in the morning. Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department proactively patrolled the streets and coordinated with the police and Traffic Inspectorate of Hoan Kiem district to be on duty at the exam sites.

Meanwhile, in Long Bien district, Vice Chairwoman of Long Bien District People's Committee Dinh Thi Thu Huong said that the unit has directed the District Police to preside over and coordinate with Traffic Police Team No. 5 and Long Bien Traffic Inspection Team to develop a plan to ensure security and order, a plan to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety, rescue work when the weather is complicated, and a plan to ensure order and traffic safety at market points in the district.

In the following exam days, the Traffic Police Department will continue to assign additional forces to key traffic routes, regulate traffic in surrounding areas and at exam locations, intersections that are often congested during rush hours, and roads under construction, quickly resolve congestion points on roads and exam areas, organize assistance and create favorable conditions for candidates and invigilators to arrive on time for the exam; arrange police cars to guide the transportation of exam papers in emergency cases when requested.

Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia affirmed that in order to prepare for the exam to take place safely, the Traffic Police Department has requested 100% of its officers and soldiers to be on duty, ready to respond and handle sudden and unexpected situations that may occur and support border areas when traffic jams occur.

Along with that, during the exam period, through the camera surveillance system at the Traffic Light Control Center, the Traffic Police Department can quickly grasp the incident points such as traffic jams or accidents for timely handling.
