According to a VNA reporter in Southern Europe, with the leading scale in the Balkan region, the 89th TIF Exhibition attracted the participation of 1,100 units, including leading enterprises in Greece, the Balkan region and 19 countries around the world .
Vietnam Corner at the Thessaloniki International Trade Exhibition, including the booth of the Vietnamese Embassy and the booths of 3 Vietnamese enterprises. With diverse items from traditional dishes, traditional handicrafts to dried fruits, dried goods, tea, coffee... especially the colorful space of Vietnam at the booth has attracted the attention of visitors to the fair, including the Deputy Minister of Economic and Development of Greece, Ambassadors of Bangladesh, Pakistan, representatives of the Indian Ministry of Textiles, businesses, Greek business associations and a large number of Greek people. With the number of visitors to the exhibition reaching tens of thousands every day, this is an opportunity to introduce and bring the image of Vietnam closer to the public and local businesses.
On this occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece organized an introduction and connection between Vietnamese enterprises participating in the Exhibition and Greek partners, especially in dried fruit products and labor market supply.
Within the framework of the Exhibition, Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong attended the Opening Ceremony of TIF 89, with a speech by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This was one of the important policy-oriented speeches that received great attention from the local business community and politicians.
Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong also had a meeting with Greek Vice President Konstantinos Chatzidakis, introducing to the Vice President Vietnam's booth at the Exhibition, the friendship and good cooperation between the two countries, especially in the year of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong also met and discussed with the President of the Greek Industry Federation in Thessaloniki, Ms. Koukia A. Saranti, to learn about the needs and possibilities of connecting businesses of the two sides, especially in the fields of construction materials and agricultural products. The two sides agreed to organize direct and online meetings between businesses of the two countries in the near future.
