Products made with the heart of the producer.
In 2019, the family of Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Hien in Tham Thau village, Luong Bang commune (Cho Don district) invested in machinery to produce Vietnamese sausage (gio and cha). To build trust with customers, she pays special attention to food safety and hygiene. Ingredients are sourced from reputable suppliers, carefully selected and processed, then finely ground, seasoned, wrapped in banana leaves, and then steamed or boiled until cooked. Thanks to meticulous selection of clean ingredients and the avoidance of borax and preservatives, Ms. Hien's sausages and cha are increasingly trusted by customers.

In 2022, with the support of the local government and the Farmers' Association, the family's sausage and ham products were evaluated under the OCOP program and received a 3-star provincial certification. Safe production and a strong brand have led to increasingly successful business, with the family earning nearly 300 million VND annually after deducting expenses. Ms. Hien was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee for her achievements in producing and trading safe agricultural products during the 2022-2025 period.
Producing vermicelli from local arrowroot tubers.
Born in the vermicelli-making village of Con Minh, Ms. Hoang Thi Tham confidently started her own business and built the Tham Luong vermicelli brand in her husband's hometown in Van Lang commune (Na Ri).
Starting with family-scale production of cassava vermicelli in 2018, Ms. Tham established the Tham Luong Cooperative in 2020 with 7 members. The cooperative gradually improved its processes and invested in machinery, while still ensuring the preservation of the traditional flavor. At the end of 2020, Tham Luong cassava vermicelli achieved OCOP 3-star provincial certification and is sold nationwide.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tham, Director of Tham Luong Cooperative, shared: "We always believe that doing this job is not just about making a living, but also about maintaining credibility. The product that reaches consumers is not just vermicelli noodles, but also the dedication and passion of those who make traditional vermicelli."
Under the Project to Support Infrastructure Development for Cooperatives as per the Provincial People's Council Resolution, in 2024 the cooperative received support to build a workshop, warehouse, and drying facility on an area of 700m2. In 2022, the cooperative produced 60 tons of vermicelli, earning over 600 million VND; in 2024, it reached 90 tons, earning over 900 million VND. It is projected that in 2025, production will exceed 95 tons.
Thanks to its efforts in production and business, Tham Luong Cooperative received a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding achievements in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh , 2016-2020; and a Certificate of Commendation for outstanding achievements in the production and business of safe agricultural and food products, 2022-2025.

The cooperative has invested over 1.2 billion VND in building a factory and purchasing modern machinery to improve productivity and product quality. Closely linking processing with the raw material area, the cooperative has provided organic fertilizers and herbal pesticides to its members for rice cultivation, and guaranteed the purchase of rice at a stable price of 14,000 VND/kg. On average, the cooperative purchases about 5 tons of Bao Thai rice each month to supply the production of vermicelli and pho noodles.
In 2019, the cooperative's two products, dried rice noodles and dried pho noodles, were recognized as OCOP 3-star products at the provincial level. In 2020, Big C supermarket signed a contract to purchase the dried pho noodles.
