Hanoi directs police to investigate forest fire in Soc Son district

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen has just signed Official Dispatch No. 4134/UBND-KTN on strengthening forest fire prevention and fighting in Soc Son district.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee requested Soc Son district to assign leaders of the district People's Committee to directly lead and direct functional branches on forest fire duty and arrange forces ready to participate in fire fighting when forest fires occur on days when forest fire forecasts are at level III or higher.

The People's Committee of Soc Son district directed the People's Committees of communes with forests to strengthen patrolling and inspection of forest protection management and forest fire prevention and fighting, especially in key areas with frequent risk of forest fires.

Hanoi also requested the City Police to direct professional departments and Soc Son District Police to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes where forest fires occurred and relevant agencies to investigate, verify and clarify the causes and subjects of forest fires, and strictly handle them in accordance with the law.

Regarding the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Hanoi People's Committee requested to continue coordinating with the People's Committee of Soc Son district, the City Police, and the Capital Command to inspect and review measures to effectively implement forest protection management and forest fire prevention and fighting, and report to the Hanoi People's Committee according to regulations...

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is also responsible for directing the Forest Protection Department, the Management Board of Protective and Special-Use Forests and related affiliated units to organize forces to increase patrols and inspections of areas at high risk of forest fires, especially in areas with spiritual tourism activities, festivals... to promptly detect and prevent the risk of forest fires...
