The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has just sent a document to the People's Committees of wards and communes; affiliated units and schools regarding strengthening urgent measures to control air pollution in the city.
In order to ensure the health of students, teachers, and staff of units and schools, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requests the People's Committees of wards, communes, units, and schools to strictly implement the directive of the City People's Committee on strengthening urgent measures to control air pollution in the area.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training recommends that units and schools proactively adjust their study schedules and outdoor activities accordingly.
Accordingly, units and schools need to regularly update information on air quality and monitor the VN_AQI index at monitoring stations in the city at the website: http://moitruongthudo.vn/.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has requested that units and schools limit organizing outdoor activities for students during hours and days when air quality is at the "Bad" level or higher.
In case of serious air pollution (VN_AQI ≥ 301), units and schools proactively suspend or adjust working and studying hours accordingly.
Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee sent a document to departments, branches, communes, wards, agencies and units requesting to strengthen urgent measures to control air pollution in the city.
In the document, the Hanoi People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training to notify and instruct schools to limit outdoor activities for students during hours and days when air quality is at the "Bad" level or higher.
In case of serious air pollution (VN_AQI ≥ 301), instruct schools to temporarily suspend or adjust working and studying hours.
