The above document was issued in the context that in recent days, Hanoi has been in a state of serious air pollution, warning of harmful effects on people's health.
Accordingly, Hanoi requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to take the lead in updating information on air quality and monitoring the VN_AQI index at air monitoring stations on the website: https://moitruongthudo.vn/.
The Department of Construction was assigned by Hanoi to supervise investors and construction contractors to have strict dust control measures (covering, washing vehicles when leaving the construction site, spraying mist to reduce dust...); loose construction waste must be covered, sealed or sealed in bags at the collection point in the construction site and during transportation.
"Research and pilot misting technology to reduce dust in residential areas, parks and traffic routes" - Hanoi Vice Chairman clearly directed.

The Department of Health is responsible for developing propaganda materials, coordinating with media agencies, newspapers, People's Committees of wards and communes, recommending people (especially the elderly, children, people with underlying respiratory diseases) to minimize outdoor activities, exercise outdoors in the early morning and at night, and use masks when going out during times when VN_AQI is at high levels.
Notably, Hanoi requested the Department of Education and Training to notify and instruct schools to limit outdoor activities for students during hours and days when air quality is at "bad" level or higher.
In case of serious air pollution (VN_AQI ≥ 301), instruct schools to temporarily suspend or adjust working and studying hours.
