The World Culinary Awards is a World Cuisine award that honors excellence in the global culinary industry. It is a sister event to the World Travel Awards and has been held annually since 2020. Asia's Best Emerging Culinary City Destination is a new award added this year. The award's voting criteria are based on the evaluation of experts in the fields of cuisine, service and tourism.

Vietnam has been honored by the World Culinary Awards many times in previous years. In 2022, Vietnam received the award for Best Culinary Destination in Asia. La Maison 1888 located in the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort won the award for Best Fine Dining Hotel Restaurant in Asia in 2022 and Best in the World in 2020. Anan Restaurant & Rooftop Bar was the best restaurant in Asia in 2022.

"The winners of the 2023 World Culinary Awards represent excellence in the culinary industry, helping to raise the industry's overall standards to new heights," said World Culinary Awards Director Rina van Staden.
