A representative of the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Hotel said that this year, the unit produced nearly 4,000 boxes of moon cakes with 11 different flavors. Notably, the hotel only produces fresh cakes, without using preservatives.

During a field inspection at the bakery kitchen, the inspection team acknowledged the hotel's efforts in ensuring food hygiene and safety.

After each inspection, the hotel always takes the instructions of the authorities well to improve more and more. In this inspection, the hotel's kitchen area was upgraded in some places and now fully meets the standards of hygiene and food safety.

Through inspection, the delegation assessed that the ingredients met the requirements of hygiene and food safety and proved their origin. In addition, the hotel representative also provided full documents related to ensuring hygiene and food safety.

The Head of the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department also said that, implementing the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee on strengthening food safety and hygiene, focusing on products serving the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department has established 2 inspection teams at 3-star hotels or higher in the city from now until the Mid-Autumn Festival.

"In particular, the inspection team focused on checking input materials, the entire production and processing process, personal hygiene and knowledge of moon cake makers," Mr. Dang Thanh Phong emphasized.

The leaders of the Hanoi Food Safety Department recommend that consumers absolutely do not buy "super cheap" or discounted moon cakes online without clear origin or source, or smuggled products. People should only buy products with full labels, clear origin, and within the expiry date.
