On the morning of October 4th, an exhibition titled " Economic , Cultural, and Social Achievements of the Capital City in 70 Years of Construction and Development" opened at the Hanoi Museum (Nam Tu Liem District).

Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai, along with leaders from several departments, agencies, and districts, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. The exhibition will run from now until October 14th.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai said that the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi is a significant and proud event. It is also an opportunity to look back on the glorious history and honor the economic, cultural, and social development achievements that Hanoi has attained.
This reaffirms our determination and aspiration to build and develop the capital city into a "cultured, civilized, and modern" place.
"These achievements not only improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, but also create a solid foundation for the rapid, sustainable, and relatively comprehensive development of the city," he said.
Mr. Hai said that the exhibition space will be a comprehensive picture, reflecting authentically and vividly the 70-year development process of Hanoi through various periods.
Featuring 500 artifacts and documentary images, the exhibition will recreate the historical journey and achievements in labor, combat, construction, and development of the capital city, from the difficult days immediately after liberation to the present day.
"The exhibition is divided into five main sections, showcasing the development of the capital from the past to the present and its vision for the future," Mr. Hai informed.
Following the opening ceremony, the exhibition opened its doors free of charge to welcome residents and tourists to visit and admire the 70-year journey of the capital's development.
The master plan for the capital city until 2045, with a vision to 2065, is on display at the exhibition.

Through the use of panels, drawings, documents, films, images, artifacts, models combined with 3D mapping projections, and the application of digital technology and AI, Hanoi announced that the exhibition takes visitors on a historical journey back to the stages of Hanoi's development with 5 exhibition spaces corresponding to 5 sections: Section 1: Hanoi before 1954 - A Thousand-Year Tradition: Recreating the glorious history of Hanoi from the Thang Long period to the brilliant historical milestone - the liberation of the capital, opening a new period of Hanoi's development. Section 2: Hanoi in the construction of socialism and the resistance war against the US for national salvation (1954-1975) - Hanoi's heroic epic forever: Recreating the achievements in the period of building and protecting the socialist North; and simultaneously being the largest and most important rear base supporting the battlefield in the South; The place where many heroic feats of the great resistance war against the US and the reunification of the country were directly achieved. Part 3: Hanoi, together with the whole country, built socialism and carried out the renovation process (1975 - 2008) - On the path of renovation and development: Recreating the achievements of the period of restoration, reconstruction, and socio-economic development after the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. The period of determined reform of the management mechanism, development of a multi-component commodity economy operating according to the market mechanism with state management.
