AFP quoted Chairman Johnson as saying: "We hope a vote on final passage of these bills will be held on the morning of April 20."
Mr. Johnson's statement was made in the context of the US government's new military aid package including 61 billion USD to support Ukraine, more than 26 billion USD for Israel and 8 billion USD for Taiwan (China).
Although the aid package has been passed by the Senate, it has encountered difficulties in the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, due to growing doubts about Ukraine's victory, as well as other domestic issues such as immigration.
On the same day, US President Joe Biden urged Congress to quickly pass the above aid package.
In an editorial published in the Wall Street Journal , the White House boss emphasized that US allies are at a "crucial" moment in conflicts with Russia and Iran.
According to him, although both countries have the ability to effectively protect their sovereignty , "to do that, they still depend on US support, including weapons. And this is a key moment."
The US leader made the above assessment in the context of speculation that Iran's attack on Israel on the night of April 13 and early morning of April 14 could prompt Washington to speed up providing a joint support package to Israel and Ukraine.
