AFP quoted Chairman Johnson as saying: "We expect a vote on the final passage of these bills to take place on the morning of April 20."
Johnson's statement comes as the US administration announces a new military aid package including $61 billion for Ukraine, over $26 billion for Israel, and $8 billion for Taiwan (China).
Although the aid package has been passed by the Senate, it faces difficulties in the Republican-majority House of Representatives due to growing doubts about Ukraine's victory, as well as other domestic issues such as immigration.
On the same day, US President Joe Biden urged Congress to quickly pass the aid package.
In an editorial published in the Wall Street Journal , the White House chief emphasized that America's allies are at a "critical" point in their conflicts with Russia and Iran.
According to him, although both countries are capable of effectively defending their sovereignty , "to do so, they still depend on US support, including weapons. And this is a crucial moment."
The US leader made this assessment amid speculation that Iran's attack on Israel on the night of April 13th and the early morning of April 14th could prompt Washington to expedite a joint aid package for Israel and Ukraine.
