Two national treasures in Quang Nam

HeritageHeritage12/06/2024

Quang Nam is considered the cradle of Champa culture with Tra Kieu capital, My Son tower area, Dong Duong Buddhist Institute, Bang An tower, Chien Dan tower area, Khuong My tower area and dozens of ruins scattered in the localities. This land has always held within it valuable artifacts belonging to Champa culture. Proof of this is that out of the 92 artifacts recognized as national treasures by the Prime Minister , 8 originated from Quang Nam. Those treasures are currently preserved and displayed at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture, the National Museum of History, and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History. Notably, two treasures are preserved right where they originated: the Ekamukhalinga (My Son Sanctuary Exhibition Hall) and the Shiva head statue from Phu Long (Quang Nam Museum).
