Restricting traffic through the old Dong Nai bridge from 0

(NLDO) - Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration) said that the unit is implementing the inspection of the old Dong Nai bridge in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai.

To serve the inspection process, authorities announced on February 22 that they will restrict traffic across the bridge from 0-5 am on February 23.

The old Dong Nai Bridge is a vital route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, built a long time ago and now degraded. This inspection aims to assess the safety level, and propose maintenance and repair plans to ensure safe traffic in the future.

Traffic diversion plan is as follows:

For motorbikes, every 30 minutes, motorbikes are allowed to circulate for about 5-10 minutes, after which the unit will continue to ban them for inspection.

For cars, instructions for vehicles to move along the route DT16 → Buu Hoa bridge → Dang Van Tron street → An Hao bridge → Le Van Duyet street → National Highway 1.

In case of prolonged traffic congestion on National Highway 1, the authorities will regulate traffic similarly to motorbikes to ensure traffic flow.

During this time, Road Management Area IV recommends that vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 towards Dong Nai should limit traffic across the bridge.

At the same time, drivers need to obey the orders of the authorities to ensure traffic safety during the bridge inspection and load testing process.
