South Koreans are the most popular tourist destination in Vietnam during the Lunar New Year, followed by China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
The results are based on booking data from Agoda, a Singapore-based digital travel platform, between January 1st and 15th, with check-in dates from February 9th and a minimum stay of two nights.

Besides the number of tourists, Agoda also listed the top 5 destinations for travelers looking for a Lunar New Year holiday in the Asia- Pacific region. In addition to Vietnam, chosen for its beautiful scenery, diverse culture, and famous cuisine, the other four destinations are Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The five most popular cities in Vietnam for international tourists during Tet (Lunar New Year) are Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hanoi , and Phu Quoc.
Vietnamese tourists are also getting ready to enjoy the upcoming Tet holiday. This year, Da Lat has proven its appeal by becoming the top domestic destination, followed by Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phan Thiet, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding overseas travel, this year's data shows that Bangkok tops the list of destinations chosen by Vietnamese tourists during Tet, followed by Singapore, Seoul (South Korea), Bali (Indonesia), and Tokyo (Japan).
Agoda Vietnam Director Vu Ngoc Lam said that Tet is a time for family reunions. The diverse selection of favorite destinations both domestically and internationally presents a rich picture of the experiences travelers seek during the festive season.
