This is the sixth time Vietnam has been named in the category of the award known as the Oscar of world tourism, after 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The World Travel Awards' votes show the strong appeal of Vietnam's heritage system, with 9 world natural and cultural heritages, 15 intangible cultural heritages, 10 UNESCO documentary heritages and a network of national-level relics and heritages spanning the country.

This is the foundation that has helped Vietnam become one of the countries with the richest heritage resources in Asia.

The title of “World's Leading Heritage Destination” in 2025 also affirms Vietnam's efforts in preserving and promoting heritage values associated with sustainable tourism development.

The combination of landscape, culture and community identity contributes to creating a unique experience, making Vietnam a particularly popular destination for international tourists.

This title also motivates localities to continue improving infrastructure and service quality, strengthening the brand "Vietnam - Endless Beauty" on the global tourism map.

Not only outstanding in the national category, many destinations of Vietnam were also honored in the world awards this year. Dong Van Stone Plateau was awarded the title of “World’s Leading Local Cultural Destination” for the first time, honoring the outstanding value of the UNESCO Global Geopark and the culture of the stone region.

Moc Chau was honored for the third time as “World’s Leading Local Natural Destination”, affirming the plateau’s stable appeal with its cool climate and pristine landscape.

Tam Dao received the title of "World's Leading Tourist Town" for the fourth time thanks to its misty beauty and unique ancient French architecture.

Phu Quoc continues to lead the category of “World's Leading Natural Island Destination” for the fourth consecutive time, demonstrating its position as one of Asia's outstanding resort paradises.

The series of consecutive titles over many years shows the sustainable attractiveness of Vietnamese destinations, and also reflects the efforts of localities in conserving resources, renewing products and improving service quality.

These awards contribute to expanding the network of diverse, unique and highly competitive destinations, continuing to make Vietnamese tourism shine in prestigious international arenas.

In addition to the destinations, many Vietnamese travel, airline and tourism service businesses were also honored in the world's leading categories, showing the synchronous development of the entire industry and the potential for Vietnamese tourism to make a stronger breakthrough in the coming time.
