Hau Giang has new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and People's Council

On the afternoon of February 12, the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 24th session (special session) to approve reports on personnel work.

Here, the delegates unanimously approved the proposal to dismiss Mr. Dong Van Thanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee; Mr. Tran Van Huyen from the position of Chairman of the People's Council; and Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, due to job transfer.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented flowers to congratulate the new Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, Tran Van Huyen.

At the same time, Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang, was dismissed from the position of Member of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province due to retirement.

The meeting approved the proposal to introduce candidates for the positions of Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Accordingly, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Tran Chi Hung, Secretary of Long My District Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Tran Van Huyen, born on March 1, 1971; hometown in Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province; Professional qualification is Master of Cultural Studies, Political theory qualification is Advanced.

Before being elected as Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Van Huyen had held the following positions: Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hau Giang Province; Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Permanent Deputy Secretary of Long My District Party Committee; Deputy Head of the Propaganda Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Council.

Previously, on February 10, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, received a decision to transfer to Can Tho City Party Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary and was introduced to be elected as Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
