Suggestions for effective implementation of Quang Nam province planning

The workshop was chaired by Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Dung.

Also attending the conference were former provincial leaders from various periods; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and localities; leading experts; and representatives of businesses in many fields.

The workshop heard presentations from four experts on key issues in realizing the Quang Nam provincial planning until 2030, with a vision to 2050, including: solutions for effectively implementing the Quang Nam provincial planning until 2030; solutions for shifting the economic structure of Quang Nam province; solutions for managing and sustainably developing urban technical infrastructure in Quang Nam province; and tasks and solutions for developing tourism in Quang Nam until 2030.

Former provincial leaders from various periods also offered suggestions and shared many important issues for the Quang Nam provincial leadership to consider in the planning and development process in the coming period, such as institutional and human resource reforms; appropriate and focused allocation of budget resources; selecting and promoting urgent projects that are "priorities within priorities"; and proposing suitable special mechanisms to the central government...

On this occasion, representatives from Hoiana also shared some recommendations and proposals related to the implementation of the provincial planning to facilitate the expansion of investment and development of Hoiana in particular, as well as investors in the province in general, thereby contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.

According to the overall objectives of the Quang Nam Provincial Planning approved by the Prime Minister, by 2030, Quang Nam strives to become a moderately developed province in the country; and an important growth pole of the Central - Central Highlands region.

It has a synchronized and modern infrastructure network; developed aviation, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, and electricity industries on a regional scale; formed a national center for medicinal herbs, deep processing of agricultural and forestry products, and silica; has a rich and distinctive culture; and has a synchronized urban system integrated with rural areas.

Speaking at the workshop, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that the workshop was organized to further clarify theoretical and practical issues in implementation. At the same time, it aimed to further explore, clarify, and propose ideas and solutions for implementing the plan effectively and sustainably, so that Quang Nam can develop according to the expectations and directions set out in the plan.

"The workshop received many heartfelt and responsible contributions from experts, scientists, and former and current leaders and managers at all levels and sectors in the province. Following this workshop, Quang Nam province has gained additional scientific arguments, assessments, and evaluations to serve as a basis for drafting the Political Report to be presented at the 23rd Congress of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030," said Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung.
