On the afternoon of November 4th, the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province confirmed that it had submitted a request to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for approval and consideration of the early retirement application of Mr. Ngo Duc Thuc, Principal of Hai Ba Trung High School.

The incident of a female teacher at Hai Ba Trung School being "kicked out" of the classroom by a colleague caused a public uproar for a long time.

Accordingly, Mr. Thuc submitted a petition to the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province on September 9th, which was before the announcement of the conclusions of the comprehensive administrative inspection of Hai Ba Trung High School.

As Thanh Nien newspaper reported, following the incident in October 2022 where a female teacher at Hai Ba Trung High School was physically and verbally "expelled" from the classroom by a colleague in front of students, the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training conducted a comprehensive inspection of the school.

As a result, Mr. Ngo Duc Thuc was found to be directly involved in the incident; at the same time, he was implicated in several violations and shortcomings in the management and administration of the school's finances.

Based on the regulations, the Department of Education and Training issued a disciplinary warning against Mr. Ngo Duc Thuc.

On the afternoon of October 2nd, the Disciplinary Council of Hai Ba Trung High School also decided to issue a reprimand to Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong, head of the physical education and national defense team of Hai Ba Trung High School.

Mr. Phong used his hands and words to "expel" Ms. Ho Thi Tam (a literature teacher) from the classroom in front of the students. Ms. Ho Thi Tam herself received a reprimand but no disciplinary action.
