After the 2-0 victory against Myanmar, the first thing coach Mai Duc Chung said upon entering the press conference room was to express his gratitude. He thanked the Vietnamese women's national team players for their outstanding performance and their utmost effort, and also thanked the fans who were present at Chonburi Stadium to cheer on the team.
"There were probably only about 10 Vietnamese fans, but that was a huge source of encouragement for us. As for the Myanmar fans, as soon as we entered the stadium, we saw only their supporters. To be honest with you, the Vietnamese women's national team is used to the large crowds of fans when we play in Vietnam, not the deserted atmosphere like here."
"Up until today's match, there were many spectators, but they were mostly fans of the opposing team. However, that didn't put any pressure on the team. My players found excitement in the lively stands, and against Myanmar, they played very well to secure the victory," coach Mai Duc Chung shared.

He also stated that the Vietnamese women's national team was in a difficult position after their defeat against the Philippines. "We only have one chance to win and advance," he said, "But we always promise our country and fans that we will play with the highest determination, demonstrating the indomitable spirit of Vietnamese women to overcome these difficulties."
Coach Mai Duc Chung also revealed that the Vietnamese women's national team had made tactical adjustments, playing an aggressive attacking style with suitable players, including Ngan Thi Van Su. "The two header goals, one by Van Su and one by Bich Thuy, were situations we had practiced a lot. Van Su, despite her height limitations, is agile and has good positioning, and she is also decisive. As for Tran Thi Duyen, she has good defensive qualities but also performed very well offensively today, and she is playing increasingly maturely," he commented.
Finally, coach Mai Duc Chung stated that the entire team will focus intensely on the upcoming semi-final match against Indonesia, striving their best to win the gold medal.
