Former Vietnam national team head coach Park Hang-seo has signed a contract to become a senior advisor to Bac Ninh FC. The newly established Bac Ninh FC is expected to participate in the national second division league in 2024.
The team from the Quan Ho region promises to be a rising powerhouse in Vietnamese football. It's known that this brand-new club has spent heavily to hire coach Park Hang-seo. Furthermore, the Bac Ninh club's management is also harboring ambitious plans, investing millions of USD to operate the team.

With significant investment, Bac Ninh FC is renovating Tu Son Stadium to serve as their home ground and establishing their own youth academy. Coach Park Hang-seo will play a key role in guiding the future, supporting youth development, and operating the club to international standards. The team's goal is to compete in Vietnam's top football league, the V-League.
Former SLNA head coach Ngo Quang Truong will lead Bac Ninh FC. To prepare for the new season, the team will recruit several players with V-League experience. Notable additions include former Vietnam U23 center-back Dao Duy Khanh, who previously played for Quang Nam FC, Than Quang Ninh FC, Hanoi FC, and Hai Phong FC. In addition, former SLNA captain Nguyen Quang Tinh also played for Bac Ninh FC.
Regarding coach Park Hang-seo, there has been much speculation about his future recently. The former Vietnam national team coach is said to have received numerous offers from teams in Southeast Asia (including Singapore, Indonesia, etc.), and most recently, there have been rumors of him joining Ho Chi Minh City FC. However, after all this, Mr. Park remains focused on managing his football academy.
Coach Park Hang-seo began working in Vietnam in 2017. After five years, he is considered the most successful coach in the history of Vietnamese football. The South Korean coach's name is associated with many outstanding achievements, such as leading the Vietnam U23 team to the final of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship and winning two consecutive SEA Games gold medals in 2019 and 2022.
At the national team level, coach Park Hang-seo led the Vietnamese national team to victory in the 2018 AFF Cup, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2019 Asian Cup, and notably, qualifying for the final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian region for the first time.
