A tight formation
This was the highlight match of round 5, featuring two championship contenders: Truong Tuoi Dong Nai FC and Bac Ninh FC. Both teams had fairly similar player quality, resulting in a tight game. The ball mainly stayed in the midfield due to a lack of sharp passing combinations that could get the ball close to the opponent's penalty area. Star players from both sides, such as Minh Vuong and Xuan Truong (Truong Tuoi Dong Nai FC) and Duc Chinh and Hai Huy (Bac Ninh FC), failed to make a difference. Therefore, the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
In the second half, the game didn't change much. Both teams continued to look for opportunities from long balls or set pieces. The match was also affected by heavy rain pouring down on the Binh Phuoc stadium, making the pitch waterlogged and difficult for the ball to roll.
Witnessing the deadlock in attack, both coach Viet Thang and Paulo Foiani made several adjustments to their attacking lines. However, no difference was made. The match ended without any goals being scored.

Alex Sandro and his teammates were frustrated at home.
