From early morning, the atmosphere around Hoan Kiem Lake was bustling with groups of women, from young people, students, office workers to grandmothers, mothers, middle-aged women... everyone was radiant in ao dai of all colors and designs, from traditional to modern... creating a vivid picture of Hanoi's autumn.

Ms. Tran Mai Lan, a bank employee in Cua Nam ward, shared: "Every year on October 20, my friends and I invite each other to wear Ao Dai to take pictures, but this year is more special, the weather in Hanoi is in autumn, the sun is gentle, the wind is cool, it feels so relaxed and peaceful. Hoan Kiem Lake also has many poetic scenes, suitable for capturing beautiful moments...".
Ms. Nguyen Tuan Anh, a freelance photographer in the Hoan Kiem Lake area, said: "On occasions like March 8 or October 20, the number of visitors taking photos doubles or triples. Many people come early in the morning to take photos when the light is beautiful and the streets are not too crowded. The autumn scenery of Hanoi is always the ideal backdrop for women wearing Ao Dai to take photos..."

Many international tourists also enjoy witnessing and capturing images of graceful Vietnamese women in traditional ao dai. Some even ask to take photos with them or buy ao dai as souvenirs, showing their interest in Vietnamese culture.

Not only is it an aesthetic activity, women wearing Ao Dai walking around the streets on October 20th is also a way to express national pride, love of beauty and respect for traditional cultural values. In the modern pace of life, such simple but meaningful moments are even more precious.
