Support of more than 83 million VND to 3 children of female patient who died due to multiple organ failure

On October 18, a representative of Dan Tri newspaper presented Mr. Tran Minh Be Hai (38 years old, residing in Ward 9, Vinh Long City, Vinh Long Province) with more than 83 million VND, witnessed by a representative of Can Tho Central General Hospital (CGH).

The above amount of money is the heart of Dan Tri readers supporting and helping Mr. Hai's family through the Newspaper's Charity Program.

Mr. Hai is the husband of Ms. Nguyen Thi My Nhung (31 years old), the character in the article "Female patient with critical multiple organ failure, family calls for help from Dan Tri readers", published on September 11.

Mr. Hai and his wife are in difficult circumstances. He works as a construction worker, his wife sells snacks, and raises three children. At the end of August, Ms. Nhung had to be hospitalized in a critical condition with multiple organ failure due to intestinal infection.

Sympathizing with the patient's situation, the staff of the Social Work Department of Can Tho Central General Hospital introduced Mr. Hai to send a petition for help to Dan Tri newspaper.

After receiving the petition, Dan Tri newspaper sent reporters to verify and write an article calling for readers’ help. However, not long after the article was published, Ms. Nhung passed away.

"My wife has passed away! The money from donors will be a great comfort, encouragement and support for me and my children to get through the coming months. My family would like to sincerely thank the newspaper, donors and the hospital for helping our family," said Mr. Hai.

Representatives of Can Tho General Hospital also sent sincere thanks to Dan Tri readers for helping patients in difficult times.
