Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Hoa Binh Newspaper, read a speech reviewing the glorious tradition of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism. Over the past 99 years, along with the press nationwide, Hoa Binh provincial press has strived to make worthy contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the People.

The provincial press agencies such as Hoa Binh Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Hoa Binh Literature and Arts Magazine... have become the shock troops on the political , ideological and cultural front, successfully completing the task of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security in the area. Up to now, the Provincial Journalists Association with 167 members has gradually grown in many aspects, the quality of information and propaganda work has been improved.
On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association launched the Hoa Binh Provincial Women Journalists Club; presented the Commemorative Medal for the cause of Vietnamese journalism to 9 individuals; the decision to approve the admission of new members in 2024 by the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association to 2 members; presented certificates of merit to the author who won the encouragement prize of the 8th National Press Award on Party building (Golden Hammer and Sickle) in 2023, the group of authors who won the encouragement prize of the 18th National Press Award in 2023; presented certificates of merit to 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work in 2023.
On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Provincial Journalists Association organized a summary and award ceremony for the 4th Hoa Binh Provincial Press Award in 2023. After 1 year of launching, the award has attracted the attention of press agencies, professional and non-professional journalists sending entries.

The Organizing Committee received over 80 entries from over 60 authors. Among them, there were authors and groups of authors who submitted 2-4 entries. After the preliminary round, the Jury selected 69 entries for the final round. Of these, 42 were print publications; 3 were electronic publications; 3 were photojournalism entries; 15 were television entries and 9 were radio entries.
The Organizing Committee selected 23 high-quality works to award prizes, including: 3 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes and 10 consolation prizes.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 author and 2 excellent groups of authors who won the A prize, the 4th Hoa Binh Provincial Press Award, 2023.
