Following her historic victory at Miss International 2024, on the morning of November 18th, Miss Thanh Thuy returned to Vietnam to share her joy with her fans back home. At 9:30 AM, Thanh Thủy appeared radiant at the international terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City). The beauty queen wore a traditional ao dai, with light makeup, showcasing her sweet beauty in front of the media cameras. From early morning, hundreds of fans gathered at the airport to welcome the 2002-born beauty back to her home country. From Hứa Gia Minh (20 years old), who arrived at the airport at 8 am, shared: "Thanh Thủy's victory has shown the world that Vietnamese women are not only beautiful but also talented, intelligent, and strong-willed. Having followed Thanh Thủy since her coronation as Miss Vietnam 2022, I see her as a perfectionist and hardworking person. Despite the criticisms about her appearance, Thanh Thủy remains strong and resilient, proving herself worthy."
Many of Thanh Thủy's fans brought national flags and banners to the airport to welcome the new Miss Vietnam. Fans swarmed Thanh Thủy as soon as she appeared. Airport security and her team had to constantly coordinate and disperse the crowd to create a path for the beauty queen. Thanh Thủy took a photo with Mr. Stephen Inventor-Díaz (Communications Director of Miss International) and Ms. Phạm Kim Dung (Director of Sen Vàng Company) at the airport. At 9:50 AM, Miss Thanh Thuy left the airport, boarded a double-decker bus, and paraded through the streets of Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate her victory. Thanh Thủy and her team traveled on a double-decker bus, passing by several famous landmarks such as the Independence Palace, Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, the Ho Chi Minh Monument located in the city's administrative center, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Bach Dang wharf, etc. Many fans rode their motorbikes alongside, cheering and shouting for Thanh Thủy. In particular, when the car passed several schools during recess, students rushed to the windows, calling out the beauty queen's name. People on both sides of the road also came out to watch, waving and cheering... Thanh Thủy's radiant smile as she was greeted by locals and fans along the way. The double-decker bus carrying the beauty queen passed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, one of the city's famous landmarks. The parade's final stop was on Truong Sa Street (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City). After the parade, on the afternoon of November 18th, Miss Thanh Thuy will meet with the media to share about her journey to conquer the Miss International 2024 title in Japan. Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was born in 2002 and hails from Da Nang . Before winning Miss International, she was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, and previously won the title of Miss Foreign Language University, and was the first runner-up in the Talented and Elegant Student Contest (Da Nang). The beauty queen is 1.75m tall with measurements of 80-63-94cm. Miss International 2024 was a student at the Foreign Language University (Da Nang University) and was one of 36 students selected to participate in a student exchange program with Ubon Ratchathani University (Thailand).
