Completed pouring the first concrete for the two main pillars of the Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed bridge

On July 15, My Thuan Project Management Board (PMU) said that the contractor had completed the first phase of pouring K0 concrete for the two main cable-stayed piers P19 and P20 of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge. More than 700m3 of concrete were poured continuously to ensure technical factors.

The second phase of concrete is expected to be poured by the end of July 2024, with the remaining 300m3 of concrete. Then, skilled engineers and workers will begin pulling the first cable bundle this August.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, currently all 6 construction packages have been taken advantage of by contractors to concentrate equipment and labor to work in "3 shifts, 4 crews" to speed up project progress, striving to complete on schedule.

Of which, the XL-02 package for the construction of Rach Mieu 2 cable-stayed main bridge has completed the entire anchor pier body P21 and P18, 4/4 pier bases, cross beams under tower pier P19, P20... reaching 46% of the plan, more than 2 months ahead of schedule. The contractor is implementing the construction of segment K24/32 pier P19, segment K26/32 pier P20.

Also according to My Thuan Project Management Board, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project has so far achieved a total output value of more than 1,740/3,302 billion VND, reaching nearly 53% of the plan.

Overall, the project is basically meeting the plan, the main Rach Mieu 2 bridge is ahead of schedule, the road section is partially behind schedule. The reason is that some sections were handed over the site late and some sections have not yet had the construction site.

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project is divided into 6 construction packages, started on March 28, 2022, expected to be completed by the end of 2025, with a total investment of 6,810 billion VND.
