The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training stipulates that students must not leave school before 4 PM.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires schools to develop plans to open their doors to students from 6:30 AM; preventing students from arriving late or leaving early and gathering in front of the school gates. The scheduling of these hours must ensure smooth traffic flow in front of and around the school during peak hours.

The Department also noted that schools should proactively arrange school plans, build flexible and appropriate timetables, ensuring adherence to the prescribed time slots; and ensure the health of children, students, and employees at the unit.

The People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones monitor, inspect and urge the implementation at educational establishments under their management; promptly report and strictly handle violating units. The Department Office, the Department of Preschool Education, the Department of General Education and the departments under it coordinate to monitor, inspect and report to the Department's leaders.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires school principals to seriously implement and fully disseminate the contents to all staff, teachers, employees, and parents; proactively review and adjust promptly, and coordinate closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance with regulations and achieve the highest effectiveness regarding school start and end times.
