Can Tho City People's Council met with more than 7,300 voters

Since the beginning of the year, the People's Council of Can Tho city has held 21 meetings, reviewed and approved 248 Resolutions to carry out organizational work within its authority, creating favorable conditions for the People's Committee of the city in the process of managing the local socio-economic development.

Comrade Ma Thi Tuoi, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Council worked with key leaders of Vi Thanh 1 commune.

Accordingly, the City People's Council organized 5 surveys on the implementation of a number of social security policies for ethnic minorities in the area; and surveyed the organization and operation of public health facilities after the merger.

Survey the organization and operation of public educational institutions; survey preparations for the new school year 2025-2026; survey the organization and implementation of a number of policies to support the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period.

At the same time, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council successfully organized the Program "Listening and exchanging" on the implementation of a number of social security policies for ethnic minorities in the area.

Regarding voter contact, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city coordinated to organize voter contacts before and after the regular meetings in 2025. Through the meetings, 7,302 voters attended, recording 593 voters expressing opinions and recommendations, with 787 contents. At the meetings, many voters' opinions were answered and clarified by People's Council delegates and functional agencies.

In general, the People's Council of Can Tho City has developed a plan to meet voters, synthesize voters' opinions and recommendations and send them to the People's Committee of the City for consideration, resolution, and response; handle arising issues within its authority; urge and remind the settlement of petitions, complaints, and denunciations of citizens.

Held the launching ceremony and put into operation the Electronic Information Page of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council, thereby posting 135 news, with 130,850 visits. At the same time, the virtual assistant of the Electronic Information Page answered more than 1,800 questions from voters, thereby aiming to contribute to building digital government, smart cities, and better serving voters and people.
