The meeting reviewed the collective performance of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the individual performance of its members in 2023.

On January 9th, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the collective performance of the Standing Committee and the individual performance of its members in 2023. Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired the conference. Representatives from the Central Party Building Committees and members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee also attended.

Comrade Nguyen Phi Long, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech guiding the conference.

In his address to the conference, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: In 2023, amidst difficulties, the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee focused on leading and directing political tasks and achieved positive results, completing 16 out of 20 targets of the Resolution. During the year, the economy recovered; various sectors and fields saw development; several key projects were started and directed; investment attraction improved; social security was ensured; culture and education received attention; and the political and security situation remained stable, without any hotspots, sudden incidents, or unexpected events. However, the province's public investment disbursement was low; and the lives of people in remote areas still face many difficulties…

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the review and evaluation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee as a whole and of individual members of the Standing Committee must ensure compliance with the Central Committee's regulations and guidelines, promote democracy, openness, transparency, clarity, and substance, and be linked to the responsibility of the leaders in implementing key and breakthrough political tasks. It should encourage a spirit of bold thinking and action, and improve work efficiency. From this, existing shortcomings and limitations should be analyzed, and effective solutions proposed to better serve the political tasks of the Provincial Party Standing Committee as a whole and each individual member of the Standing Committee. During the evaluation and review process, each member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee promoted democracy, openness, and sincerity, conducting objective, democratic, and multi-faceted assessments to contribute to improving the quality of Party committee activities and creating changes in leadership and guidance, with the ultimate goal of contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks in 2024, as set forth in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The conference was conducted in accordance with Regulation No. 124-QD/TW, dated October 4, 2023, of the Politburo and Guidance No. 25-HD/BTCTW, dated November 10, 2023, of the Central Organization Committee on some contents of review and evaluation, and annual ranking of quality for collectives and individuals in the political system.
